Things are looking great as we begin work on the Camp Mahanaim project. The 15-acre property is bordered by a river on both the east and west sides, and has about 1500 feet of Caribbean beachfront to the south. Our goal is to work together with the MEBSH (Mission Evangelistic Baptist Southern Haiti) and their existing school system, in which they have more than 400 schools throughout southern Haiti. Throughout the school year we desire to host 200 school children (ages 11 & 12 yrs) per week at the camp, teaching them health care, life skills, and how to live in a growing, changing world—all from the biblical perspective. We also hope to give these Haitian children an opportunity to learn and experience various sports such as swimming, canoeing, track and field, basketball, volleyball, table tennis, and numerous other activities which they would normally never have a chance to do.

We have already begun preparations and are planning to work this year getting most everything ready at the camp, so that, Lord willing, we can begin receiving children in September of 2010. We will need many partners and co-workers to come help and work along side us in order to achieve this goal.
